Wonderful Wedding Wishes!!

We had a wonderful weekend at the beautiful wedding of Lisa and Patrick.

It is so wonderful to celebrate the marriage of two people that the Lord has allowed you to watch grow in love and respect for each other. The day was a beautiful, worshipful experience which I think is exactly what the bride and groom wanted. Adam and I were thrilled to be in the wedding party and it was fun to be escorted down the aisle by my husband. The last time he walked me down the aisle, he had just become my husband!!! It was a very special day to share with my wonderful husband. He is SUCH a wonderful big brother and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his sisters. I am so thankful he has shared them with me!
Here are some pictures of Adam and I with his youngest sister Lori. She was a great maid of honor.

That's all for now. Sorry I don't have any of the handsome groom. We didn't take many pics. I will share more when we have some.

Me and my Iphone

I should be ashamed of myself. About six months ago, Adam got an I-phone at which time I not so affectionately referred to this contraption as the third person in our marriage. I felt he spent WAY To much time on that "thing". I had very little LOVE for the object. Well my "sweet" little flip phone had seen better days and we were praying it would just make it until my upgrade which came this January. So I set out into the phone store to find my new friend. I knew that if I chose an Iphone that I would be going against everything that I had said to Adam. So what do I do, but head straight to the blackberry wall. Surely this will be my new connection to the world. The wonderful sales lady spends time explaining the features, I hold the phones, feel their power but begin to feel myself being lured by the very thing I set out to avoid. You guessed. I walked out that day with an Iphone. I texted Adam from my Iphone that I got an Iphone and I waited for it....He was kind only saying, "I think its funny all the grief you have given me and look at what you have."

And let me say dear friends, a beast has been unleashed. I am kid in a candy store. I have surpassed the amount of time that my husband spent on his phone. I LOVE THIS THING!!!

Happy Birthday Albe!!

This weekend marks the one year anniversary of adding Albe to our family!!! Since we adopted him we don't know when his birthday, so we decided to claim the MLK weekend as his birthday weekend since that's when he joined our family. This little fella has brought so much joy into our lives. He has such a fun personality, and LOVES to give kisses. As you can tell from these pictures. He has a pretty good life!!! Happy birthday fella!!!!

Tulips are my favorite!

I had a WONDERFUL birthday. I guess the good part about getting older is that you are reminded of how loved you are.
The Wednesday before my birthday which happened to be the day before the "big snow" (it snowed for like 30 minutes here, but we still got a day out of school), I came home from the grocery store set all the bags down and then turned the lights on to find these....

The purple ones were from Adam and the pink ones from Albe. I was SOOO surprised and SOOO happy. I think I danced. They were beautiful. Have I mentioned that I LOVE tulips.

Happy Birthday Amy!!

I know this is a few hours early, but by the time most of you read this, it will be Amy's birthday (January 8th)!! I didn't want to get too busy at work and forget to post this. Amy enjoyed her 9 days being younger than me, but now she has joined the same age as me club. She has been such a wonderful wife and best friend, putting up with me and my obsession with sports, especially the Cardinals. I hope that she has a great birthday with many more to come!!!!

Fun, fun, fun

During the Christmas holidays, the Knight family traveled over 1400 miles. Albe and I slept about 1200 of those miles while my wonderful husband did a fantastic job of driving.

It is always so refreshing to spend time with family and friends, laughing and relaxing. As always, we received the most entertainment from "little man" aka Jackson. He is at such a fun age. I truly believe he is the smartest 3 year old around.

Adam and I were very excited about giving him our Christmas present. Swords and shields. This kid is ALL boy and turns everything into a weapon. We were tired of not having anything to defend ourselves with, so we got a set of swords and shields. To say that he loved them was an understatement. Another thing that Jackson loves is his Uncle Adam. It warms my heart to see these two play. And play they do. Adam plays so well with Jackson. I heard a million times, "Mimi (that's me), come and get the Monster (that's Adam" or "Come and get Uncle Adam's sword"

We had so much fun with that little fella and the rest of the family too. Did I mention that I got dominoes and Phase 10??? I LOVE THEM!!

We also went to the kid version of a casino, Gatti Town. Thankfully we had a 3 year-old to disguise how much fun the grown-ups were having. Mom, Adam, Amy and I rode the bumper cars. So fun. Adam and I played Dance Dance Revolution. Can you say, HARD!! I think Jackson had fun too!!

Deck the halls

We loved decorating our new house for Christmas. Its no secret that Adam wants to be Clark Griswald with the Christmas lights, but have you ever bought lights for the outside of the house? Somebody is making some $$$$. So I lovingly told him that it is a process and we will add every year. He did a great job this year, tasteful yet awe inspiring.
Last year Adam and I moved during Christmas so we didn't get to decorate for Christmas, so we took advantage of having a place to decorate this year and put our Christmas decorations out before we left for Thanksgiving. One of our traditions is to buy Christmas ornaments at all of the places we travel to. We haven't used some of these ornaments yet, so it was fun to pull those out for the first time this year!

These are just a few of the memorable ornaments on the tree. I will post again soon about the fun we had with Jackson and the families!
