The big 3-0
Today is Adam's 30th birthday. I am so proud and thankful to celebrate his life. Seeing Adam with Cameron as such a wonderful father brings my love for him to a new level. He is such a loving, compassionate, fun dad and husband. I am looking forward to our 30th year of life and all the Lord has in store for us.

A new perspective
We had such a special Christmas this year as we celebrated the birth of our savior with our precious son. I got misty eyes every time we sang the beautiful carols, or read the scripture because this Christmas I saw with new eyes what a gift the birth of Christ was. Through new eyes I felt the love of Mary for her baby boy, a love I understand a little better now as I hold my baby boy on my chest. Through new eyes I thought of the Christ as a baby, wiggly and helpless. Through new eyes I considered the wonder of God as man. As i look at the sleeping face of our baby boy, the peace he exudes I wonder if maybe God chose to use a baby because he would become the Prince of Peace. I have been changed this Christmas. Through new eyes I see the wonder of Christmas.

9 months old
Sweet boy is 9 months old today. *tear. I know he is supposed to grow and get bigger and older but I just want to freeze time. Every moment flies by. Each day is such a gift with our angel boy. He brings so much joy to so many. He is so very loved!!

So what have you been up to this month Cameron Charles.

You are enjoying your baby food much more these days. You are eating baby food 1-3 times a day. Your favorites are bananas, peaches, fruit mix( blueberries, grapes, cherries), squash, carrots, and sweet peas. You also love mum mum crackers and puffs. You tried your friend Jude's yogurt puffs and liked those too. You are still nursing like a champ!
You are still drinking very well from your silly cup. You like to drink water. Not a fan of juice which is ok with mommy.
You have learned to clap and if you are in the mood will do it on command. You picked this up really quickly and clap a lot now.
You also love to make funny noises. You will pat your mouth and make fun noises.
You are not mobile yet. You are trying but just can't get your body to move like you want. Your buddha belly kind of hinders you a little too. You are perfectly content to sit and play. You will bend and reach as far as you can to get your toys but are not crawling to them. You are getting better at going from sitting to your knees but don't always do it on purpose. You will do the worm backwards better than forward.

You have also learned to say ma-ma, mu-mu. You have become quite a mommy's boy. You fuss for mommy which warms my heart but can be a bit pitiful. You also say lala, oooohh, aahh, boo, umm, ba-ba, bu-bu what sounds like hey and even said hey goober to your daddy ( at least that's what it sounded like). :) You are using intonation and changing the pitch of your voice like you are having conversations with us. You really start babbling when you are tired and going to sleep.

Your sleep has been off this month with all of our traveling and teething. We try to help you get 12 hours at night and 3 hrs of naps during the day.
You are a joyful little boy. Your laugh is so precious. You especially think your granddads and daddy are funny and your doggy.
You grab everything!!! Door knobs, hair, jewelry, our faces, anything within arms reach on the table or bar. You like to bang your blocks together and bang things on your other toys.
You met Santa at school this month. You pulled his beard and on his hat.We got a cute picture.

You also got a big boy convertible carseat this month. You were outgrowing your other seat and the new one is much more comfortable for our long drives.

You like to do your motor boat and spit. Funny boy.
Your cousins came to Hattiesburg for an early Christmas. You had fun playing with Anderson and Jackson. Jackson stayed for a few days and mommy and daddy kept him. We had a lot of fun and you were very entertained by him.
You also played with your buddy Jude while we were in Hattiesburg.

You still don't have any teeth but we can feel one on the bottom and you've been acting uncomfortable.
You have a bit of a feisty personality when you don't get your way.You normally like to play and talk when you are getting your diaper changed but sometimes you HATE it and scream as soon as we start to put you down. You have learned how to get your way via the screaming. :)

This Christmas is special as we are seeing the gift of Jesus through fresh eyes. As mommy and daddy see you Cameron we realize how special that first Christmas was with the birth of. Baby Jesus. Having you also helps us understand the Father's love for us better. Our love for you grows daily!

Over the river and through the woods
We spent the weekend and Adam's grandparents house. We had a sweet time with Cameron getting lots of attention and love. He is one very loved little boy. It is very neat that C gets extra love from 2 sets of great-grandparents. C opened his first Christmas presents. He loves the pretty paper and his new toys. He is such a curious little fella. Enjoy the pics.

Happy thanksgiving!!
We celebrated Thanksgiving with overwhelming gratitude in our hearts. This year is special as we are thankful for our precious gift, Cameron but also a bit sad without papaw and Geet. We are so blessed with family and friends that adore our sweet son and love on us too!! May we go forward with a heart of gratitude and daily "enter His gates with Thanksgiving and his courts with praise."

8 months
Where has the time gone? Cameron Charles you are 8 months old today. You have filled our days and nights with laughter, joy, and overwhelming love!!
What have you been up to this month?
At your doctors appointment yesterday you weighed 21lbs 8 oz. It is hard to believe you have quadrupled. Your birth weight in 8 months. You are our chunk of love!!
You still think Albe is the greatest thing to watch. When Albe comes near you reach out and try to kiss him. So sweet.
Your little personality continues to emerge and you are just the most joyful little boy. When you laugh or smile your whole face lights up. Your laugh is contagious and that sweet smile warms our hearts.
You love to sit and play with your toys. Some of your favorite toys are your stacking rings, octopus rattle, saxophone, and blocks.

You grab everything Including hair, earrings, and anything you can reach. Your reaching and grasping is really good. You also enjoy throwing things off your high chair. This is such a fun game. Every morning you and daddy eat breakfast while mommy gets ready and you play this game with daddy. You like to help daddy work out. You love your daddy so much.

As of last week you decided you might actually be interested in your baby food. This is huge. You also decided on Friday that you love the mum-mum. Crackers. You LOVE these now, even though a week ago, you wouldn't touch them!!
Your sleep patterns still seem unpredictable. You go to sleep every night between 6:30-7 and wake up between 6:30-7:30 the next day but we usually have 1 or 2 or on bad nights 3 or 4 times in between that time.
You have learned how to drink from a sippy cup. You prefer water over juice and like to naw on the sippy cup as well as drink from it. You really like to drink water from mommy's big cup and always reach for it when I am drinking. You do a pretty good job of drinking from this cup as well.
You saw your first Christmas tree at G-ma and G-pa's house. You loved touching it. ![]() |
