Early on Tuesday morning, the Lord blessed Amy and I with the most precious gift we could ever receive!! Cameron Charles Knight was born at 3:44 AM on 3/22/11. He weighed just shy of 5 pounds and was 18.25 inches long. Even though he is a smaller baby, he is definitely strong and full of life. Amy and I, though exhausted, have loved every minute we have spent with him, and can't wait to see what lies ahead with our little man. I'll post a few pictures now and we'll add more when we get home, which will hopefully be tomorrow. Amy is doing well and I can say this for sure, is one of the toughest women in the world. Check back in the next few days to hear from Amy and see more pictures.

My sweet Papaw

Today, March 16, 2011, the angels rejoiced when my wonderful Papaw, James Lee Triggs entered Heaven.
My heart grieves and rejoices.
I grieve for many reasons.
I grieve because I know Papaw will never hold Cameron.
I grieve for I can no longer call him and hear his voice.
I grieve because life just won't feel the same without him.
But I rejoice for many more reasons.
I rejoice because he is now with our Savior.
I rejoice because he is reunited with his bride of 66 years.
I rejoice because he is physically restored.
I rejoice because I know he is watching over us, hand in hand with Mamaw.
I rejoice because he is HOME!!!
So today we grieve in the death of our precious Papaw, we celebrate for the life we will meet in just a few days in Cameron. The Lord's timing is not our timing, his ways are not our ways, but we can and I am claiming his peace and hope in these days of joy and sorrow.
"There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Cameron's Nursery
I have been so pleased with how Cameron's nursery turned out. I wanted it to be a peaceful room that we would enjoy being in especially for those late night feedings. I was able to commission one of my students to paint some precious canvases to match the bedding and make a picture board for us.The pictures really don't do the room justice. We are ready and waiting for you sweetboy!!

Baby Showers
Adam and I have been so blessed by the love and generosity of our friends and family as we prepare for Cameron.
We were blessed with a shower in Hattiesburg (don't have pictures yet), one given by our Sunday School class and another by sweet friends at work.
First, our Sunday School Shower.
The table was so cute!

The sweet hostesses.

Isn't this the most precious cake and it tasted as good as it looked.

We were also blessed with a wonderful shower given by some work colleagues.
This cake is a perfect match for the nursery (pics coming soon).

The hostesses!

You would not believe how precious these cupcakes were. They were little babies. I have never seen anything so cute! Special thanks to Stacey's mother-n-law for the cake and cupcakes.

I thought I had gotten a few more pics, they really went over and beyond on the food, but I guess I was to busy eating it all to take pictures of it!!
I will post pictures from the Hattiesburg shower when I get them.
We are so blessed by everyone's love and generosity.
As you can see by the countdown, Cameron will be here VERY soon. I think we are as ready as we can be.
