7 months

How can it be? Cameron Charles, you are 7 months old!!
What joy you bring to each day and moment of our lives. This month has gone by so quickly.
At 7 months with your coming home outfit!
So what have you been up to this month?
7 months of LOVE
- You have mastered sitting on your own. Of course over protective mom sticks pretty close when you are sitting up but you are doing really well with this. You have learned to right yourself when you start to fall. You still fall over sometimes but can sit for much longer now.
Sitting up ready for church.
- You will not stay on your stomach very long. You immediately roll over. You've been rolling from tummy to back for months ( since about 2 months) but in the past few weeks you flip instantly. You still haven't rolled from back to tummy and have really been content to lay on your back. You will roll up on your side but decide you like your back just fine.
Relaxation
-We just thought you were talking a lot before. Now You talk so much more and are so funny how you have little conversations. You use inflection and change your pitch. It's precious. You also squeal, screech and make sure you have our attention.
Talking!
- You are such a content, joyful little boy. You laugh all the time. You think mommy and daddy are very funny. You love when daddy blows raspberries on your tummy, plays peekaboo, flies you like superman or does push ups over you.
Joy!
Daddy's best friend!
- You love your doggy Albe. You will hear him coming down the hall and stop playing or nursing to look for him. Albe is very patient with your petting and ear pulling. He is becoming more fond of you too. He likes to lay where he is touching you if you are sleeping in mommy's arms.
-You are a mama's boy, but you love to play with your daddy too!! You are still nursing 5-6 times a day. You are eating a little more solids, but still don't enjoy it. I think you do it to make me feel better! You do like to drink from a cup, which we think is funny. Whenever I have a cup you reach for it and know just how to drink from it.

Mommy's little boy!
- You love to ride in the stroller. You get really excited when we are putting you in your stroller. You like strolling down to the lake and around campus. Uncle John enjoys taking you strolling.
This is the life!
- We took you to daddy's Motor Development class to illustrate a 6 month olds motor skills. You did great showing all of your tricks. Daddy's students were very impressed.

Such a big boy!

This month you also got your first haircut ( 10/1/11).
After first haircut
Made your first trip to the pumpkin patch (10/15/11).

We made a trip to Hattiesburg this month and while we were there you got lots of loving from your grandparents, aunts, uncles and even great grandparents. Cameron was able to sport his Southern Miss gear. We are looking forward to taking him to a game in a few weeks.

Our little patient

C had surgery today to remove adhesions from his circumcision. He was such a trooper and is doing pretty well considering. Seeing your baby so helpless was soo hard!! These pics are the progression of the day, from bright and early until we headed home. ( I am posting from my phone and the pics got out of order, sorry)

Pumpkin patch

We had a great time with Cameron at the pumpkin patch this weekend and were so glad Gigi and Papa could join us. I know he will really enjoy it when he is a little older and can ride the horse and hay ride. Here are some pictures of our little pumpkin.

First Haircut

We went to Hattiesburg for a visit the first weekend in October and decided it was time to give Cameron his first hair-cut. He had lost all of his original hair on top of his head but never lost the hair on the sides. It had gotten really long (down to his ear lobes) and I would try and keep it tucked behind his ears but that was looking a bit girly. So while we were at Gigi and Papa's house he got his first haircut. He looks like such a big boy.

6 months

Cameron Charles is 6 months old today. Did you get that? 6 months, half a year!!! Holy Moly! I cannot believe our sweet boy has been with us for so long. At 3:44 am on March 22 our lives were forever changed. ( In my sleepless, tired state I thought he was born at 3:22 and was awake with C at that time this morning feeling all nostaligic until Adam informed me later that he was born at 3:44. I should know these things, I was there and all). So let's look at what our chunk of love is up to this month.

Cameron, at 6 months
-You are still such a sweet, happy boy. Your smile is contagious. It lights up your whole face. Your laugh also brings us so much joy! You like to laugh at mommy and daddy when we make our funny sounds or funny faces. Your grandparents and aunts and uncles can also get you to laugh. You are a funny boy! You make us laugh too!

       - You are very interested in your doggy, Albe. You watch wherever he is going. You can reach out and pet him now and he has been really good to let you. It won't be long before you will be chasing him.

- We have been introducing new vegetables to you this month and have tried sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans. (had already tried rice cereal and oatmeal). You are not a fan. You can actually be a bit dramatic when any of the baby food hits the back of your throat. You gag! You lock your jaws and make it nearly impossible for mommy to get the spoon in your mouth. I hope you will start to like these vegetables soon.
- You still love your bath and kicking and splashing with your hands. You like to relax in the tub and will work until you are propped back as far as you can go. Such a funny boy.
-We have been working on your sitting and you can do it on your own for a little while but usually get distracted looking at doggy or something else and start to topple over. If we prop you up on the bed on a pillow you usually try to sit up. It looks like you are doing crunches.
-You are VERY interested in your toys now and reaching for them. Its been fun watching you learn how to PLAY with your toys. Your favorite toys are your popper (in picture above), Carla the Caterpillar, Sophie the Giraffe, stacking rings, zebra rattle, and saxophone. You also still love your bouncer!
-We love to read to you. You enjoy this time too. Some of our favorite books are Sleepy Time with Elmo, The Napping House, and Moo, Baa, La La La.
-You love to be outside especially in the stroller. You ooooo when the wind blows. This is a picture of you on the 4wheeler with Papa.

-One of our new favorite tricks of yours is when you give us kisses. We say give me a kiss and you give us a good sloppy wet kiss. Its precious.
-You love your feet still and are utterly entertained by tugging on them and even pulled your own sock off the other day.

- You have learned a crazy sound at school that sounds like a terradactyl. It is SO funny. Sometimes you do it to get our attention and sometimes you just make the noise to be funny.

-You are a chunk. People comment about your chunky thighs and arm rolls. Such a stark contrast from where you started. We are so proud of your growth.

I can't believe that we just met you 6 months ago. Our love for you is infinite.
