15 months

Again, where did the time go. I feel like you've changed and learned the most this month ( I think I feel like that every month but especially this month).
At your 15 month appt. you weighed 24 lbs 12 oz (75%) were 30.5 inches (50%)
What are you up to...
- You are learning so many new things every day. I am amazed by how your little mind works.
- You can make the sounds for a monkey ( with hand gestures), lion, frog, horse (with head shake), dog, giraffe ( you say ha ha like in your book), Bear, cow, crocodile ( clap your hands), car (run your motor), elephant ( with hand gesture), cat, chicken, duck, sheep,
- You still love to read your books. You are even learning what is in each book. One of your books mentions Papa bear and you bring it to me and say Papa. Another book has a horse on the first page and you start doing your horse sound when you hand it to me.
- You love Sesame street. You say mo ( Elmo) a lot, ahahah for theCount, hehehe for Ernie, bird for big bird, Bababa for cookie monster, grove for Grover. You wake up saying mo or roaring like a lion.
- You have been a trooper this month while we did so much traveling. We've been to Birmingham to visit your great-grandparents, Prattville for your cousin Anderson's birthday, Hattiesburg for Aunt Lori and Uncle James wedding and back to Tuscaloosa to pick up cousin Jackson. You still don't sleep in the car but we bought a DVD player so now you love watching Mo.
- You are starting to walk behind your push toys or boxes that you can push across the floor. You pull up like a pro now and crawl very very quickly.
-You say mama, da, bubba ( albe), papa, g, bop bop ( sometimes its pop pop), boat, bubbles, wuv (love), hey, more, mo, bird, book, And yum.
-You can point to your nose, hair, teeth and belly button. You blow when I say something is hot.
- You respond very well to no. You stop what you are doing and shake your head no.
I have loved being home with you this month but it has made you even more of a mama's boy. You are an angel boy!! We love you to the moon and back.

Fun with cousin Jackson

Our fun 5 year old nephew left today after 5 fun days with the sweet boy. He is so smart and was very well behaved and loves his Uncle Adam!! We did lots of fun stuff like pizza making, park playing, frosty eating, fort building, t-ball playing, slip-n-sliding, college attending, and movie watching. C loved Jack-Jack and our house was awfully quiet this afternoon. We look forward to more cousin time in the future.

Ring bearer

We were thrilled to celebrate Adam's baby sister lori's wedding last weekend. Adam and I were both thankful to be a part of the wedding party but we were especially excited and nervous about c being the ring bearer. Uncle Patrick carried him in and he was so precious!! C's wedding attire was the outfit Adam wore to his aunt and uncles wedding almost 30 years ago. So neat!! What a special day!!

14 months

I know I say this every month but I really can't believe you are 14 months old Cameron Charles! Your little personality is really emerging and boy are you a sweet, fun boy!!
At 14 months
-you are very busy and very quick. You are keeping us on our toes. You can walk holding our hands but prefer to crawl.
- You shake your head no when we tell you no and are usually pretty good about stopping. It's funny to watch you go up to something you know is a no-no and you shake your head no before I can even say anything.
-You have expanded your sounds and vocab a lot this month. You say ball, call albe bubba, papa, call gpa pop pop, dada, mama, wuv for love. Its hilarious when you say "hey da" or " my mama" love this!! You know what cookie monster and the count say and mimic them well When we ask what the sheep says you ba. Big bird says ba bird. Elmo says mo. You do a distinct sound for a frog And dog. You are a smart boy. You make a motor sound when you see a truck.
- You are obsessed with books. Your favorite right now is the First Words book your cousins Jackson and Anderson gave you for your birthday. You love turning the pages! We say you aren't as mobile because you would rather sit and read than walk.
-You have been wearing shoes more this month and when I take them off of you, you work so hard to put them back on. Any shoe or sock you see you try and put on.
-you like looking at pictures of your grandparents and aunts and uncles. You pull their framed pictures down off bookshelf and crawl around with them.
-You are eating 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. You still nurse about 3 times a day too. You are a very adventurous eater most of the time. Your favorite foods are spaghetti, watermelon, tomatoes, strawberries, banana (probably favorite), toast, & yogurt. You also eat carrots, squash, zucchini, pancakes, oatmeal, potatoes, grilled chicken, green beans, blueberries, and lots of other things. You chug the water from your sippy cup but don't drink your milk that way very well. You prefer the water.
-Sleep still is a struggle. You don't nap well at school and usually take a nap soon after we get home around 2:30 or 3. You are usually ready for bed around 7, earlier if you didn't get that nap after school, and sleep to 6:30-7 but still wake up at least 2 times. I really believe you will grow into sleep
-You are very social. You love to meet new people when we go out to eat especially the ladies. You are a big flirt. - You have 8 teeth as of today. Your 1 st year molar popped through today on the right side. So that gives you 6 on top and still only 2 on bottom.
-You like resting your head on a pillow and rolling or flopping around. It's funny. You flip and flop like a fish! You haven't fallen asleep from this but I am still hopeful.
-You love bath time. You are all over the tub and play so well in there.
-You love Sesame Street. You and daddy watch it together while I get ready every morning. I think daddy likes it as much as you.
Cameron sometimes I feel my heart could burst with love for you. We are so thankful for your giggle, hugs, and joy. You are our angel boy!!

1st Birthday- Cupcake Love

I've been meaning to post this for a while. We captured this priceless video of C on his first birthday with his very first cupcake. Thanks to technology, both sets of grandparents were able to watch via Facetime. You can even hear them in the background. Love this sweet boy!
