14 months

I know I say this every month but I really can't believe you are 14 months old Cameron Charles! Your little personality is really emerging and boy are you a sweet, fun boy!!
At 14 months
-you are very busy and very quick. You are keeping us on our toes. You can walk holding our hands but prefer to crawl.
- You shake your head no when we tell you no and are usually pretty good about stopping. It's funny to watch you go up to something you know is a no-no and you shake your head no before I can even say anything.
-You have expanded your sounds and vocab a lot this month. You say ball, call albe bubba, papa, call gpa pop pop, dada, mama, wuv for love. Its hilarious when you say "hey da" or " my mama" love this!! You know what cookie monster and the count say and mimic them well When we ask what the sheep says you ba. Big bird says ba bird. Elmo says mo. You do a distinct sound for a frog And dog. You are a smart boy. You make a motor sound when you see a truck.
- You are obsessed with books. Your favorite right now is the First Words book your cousins Jackson and Anderson gave you for your birthday. You love turning the pages! We say you aren't as mobile because you would rather sit and read than walk.
-You have been wearing shoes more this month and when I take them off of you, you work so hard to put them back on. Any shoe or sock you see you try and put on.
-you like looking at pictures of your grandparents and aunts and uncles. You pull their framed pictures down off bookshelf and crawl around with them.
-You are eating 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. You still nurse about 3 times a day too. You are a very adventurous eater most of the time. Your favorite foods are spaghetti, watermelon, tomatoes, strawberries, banana (probably favorite), toast, & yogurt. You also eat carrots, squash, zucchini, pancakes, oatmeal, potatoes, grilled chicken, green beans, blueberries, and lots of other things. You chug the water from your sippy cup but don't drink your milk that way very well. You prefer the water.
-Sleep still is a struggle. You don't nap well at school and usually take a nap soon after we get home around 2:30 or 3. You are usually ready for bed around 7, earlier if you didn't get that nap after school, and sleep to 6:30-7 but still wake up at least 2 times. I really believe you will grow into sleep
-You are very social. You love to meet new people when we go out to eat especially the ladies. You are a big flirt. - You have 8 teeth as of today. Your 1 st year molar popped through today on the right side. So that gives you 6 on top and still only 2 on bottom.
-You like resting your head on a pillow and rolling or flopping around. It's funny. You flip and flop like a fish! You haven't fallen asleep from this but I am still hopeful.
-You love bath time. You are all over the tub and play so well in there.
-You love Sesame Street. You and daddy watch it together while I get ready every morning. I think daddy likes it as much as you.
Cameron sometimes I feel my heart could burst with love for you. We are so thankful for your giggle, hugs, and joy. You are our angel boy!!

1st Birthday- Cupcake Love

I've been meaning to post this for a while. We captured this priceless video of C on his first birthday with his very first cupcake. Thanks to technology, both sets of grandparents were able to watch via Facetime. You can even hear them in the background. Love this sweet boy!

Take me out to the ballgame

We took C to his first baseball game this weekend to see his cousin Austin play. We are proud of Austin even though he plays for that other school. C did great. It was very hot but he was a trooper. We enjoyed visiting with Uncle Larry, Aunt Pam and Andrew. I know this will be the first of many many ballgames to come.

13 months

Another month has come and gone and little man is keeping us on our toes.
-This month you mastered crawling.
You are so funny to watch. You can crawl on all fours ( normally) but sometimes you want to go faster so you walk/crawl with on foot down flat. Today you heard daddy come in and took off so fast to meet him. You are becoming much more independent. You will crawl into the Rec room and play. Love it.
-You know what no means and when we tell you no and anything that is negative in meaning you shake you're head no. It's really funny.
- You love swinging outside.
- You also love Riding your new ride. You turn your motor on anytime you have a car in your hand or when you get near your new ride.
- You say oooooo to everything.
- You took your first day trip without mommy and daddy to Birmingham for grandma's birthday. You were in good hands with Gma, Gpa, Aunt Lolo and Aunt Lili but it was sure hard for me to let you go without us.
- You now have 7 teeth and I think 2 others are just below the surface. This has made you feel pretty yucky and your sleep even worse than normal but you are a trooper.
- You got another haircut this month. You look less like a baby and more like a little boy everyday.

-You still love books. You especially like reading while in your carseat. It is so funny to hear you reading.
-You are braver with Albe. You love on him, beat on him and he will bring his ball to you.
-You've added a few words to your vocab. You say mo-mo for Elmo. You say Papa when you see your Papa. Of course you still say ma-ma, da-da, ba, ba, bye, I think you call Albe bubba and say bak for book. You can be quite the jabber box.
-You mimic so many things we do. Brushing your hair, putting something on your head, talking on the phone. You even knew to put the thermometer in the right place. Such a smart boy.
-You love to give kisses and hugs. You like to kiss the babies in your book and Big Bird too.
You are our sweet boy. Love you little man!!

1 year pictures

We are so fortunate to have a very talented friend who has taken pictures of C. It happens that she is also the Mommy to C's best bud Jude so they joined us for C's first birthday party. Jessi did a great job capturing some precious pics quickly as we were nearing a tired of partying meltdown. Thanks Jessi.
