1 YEAR OLD

To be quite honest I have been putting this post off, living in denial that our sweet boy is 1. How can this be? I've tried to really soak in these days even though I just want to stop time. It really has been the fastest, most tiring, most joy filled year of our lives. Each day is more fun with this little angel boy.
What have you been up to this month?

- You are quite the social butterfly. You love to wave hi and bye everywhere you go.

-Books,books, and more books. You love your books and constantly hand them to us to read. If you had a toy or a book to choose from, you would choose the book. You kiss the babies in the books which is so funny.

- You took your first vacation this month on a cruise to Montego Bay, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. You did GREAT! You were such a sweet boy and didn't seem phased by the changes, people or places. You made lots of friends with the crew. They called you Cam-er-on. Your Gma, Gpa, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Patrick went with us and you loved spending so much time with them.

- You have found some creative ways to get around. We wouldn't call it crawling, but a funny scoot shuffle slide. You are so flexible and use it to your advantage.

-You love watching Elmo songs and dance with your arms waving in the air.
- You can say ma-ma, da-da, bak for book, bye, hey, ba-ba, La-la, and mo for more.

- You have 4 teeth now ( 2 top & 2 bottom) and  2 others popped through last night( top left and right) is . Your toothy grin is soo cute.

- unfortunately you had another ear infection this month and I'm afraid you have one on your birthday. We are going early for your year checkup to get you ears checked.

- Besides books you favorite toys are your blocks, balls, trucks ( you make a motor noise when you push your trucks) & your abc train.

- You started showing interest in baby food again this month but are still not consistent on when you will take it. On our cruise you tried and loved lots of new foods: ( some you had before) watermelon, tomatoes, cantaloupe, cheese, mashed potatoes, pineapple, jello, oatmeal, grits, frozen yogurt, bread, banana, potatoes, carrots, green beans, and yogurt. Your favorites are watermelon and tomatoes. Papaw would be so proud of you. You are still nursing 4-5 times a day but gave up bottles of bm last month when you went on the bottle strike. I guess I will be packing the bottles up.

- You still love giving us hugs and kisses. When we pick you up from daycare you smother out cheeks with slimy kisses. It's the best part of my day. Worst part is leaving you at day care. You scream and have started sinking your fingernails in my shoulder. I know you are in good hands but it's so hard to leave you.
-You also love to give raspberries. You do them on our face, arms, legs, and even books.

-You rode the lawn mower for the first time with daddy. You love watching him mow. You wave both arms and bounce up and down when you see him.

- Your eyes have stayed the most beautiful shade of blue. We get lots of compliments on your pretty eyes. You got those from your daddy. You have my fair skin and a strawberry blonde head full of hair.

 

Cameron Charles, You are such a joy!! Thank you for bringing so much love and laughter to so many people. We pray that you grow to know how much you are loved by our heavenly Father and all your family. We pray you love others as you are loved!! Its been a wonderful year as your mommy!! I love you son!
