Deck the halls

We loved decorating our new house for Christmas. Its no secret that Adam wants to be Clark Griswald with the Christmas lights, but have you ever bought lights for the outside of the house? Somebody is making some $$$$. So I lovingly told him that it is a process and we will add every year. He did a great job this year, tasteful yet awe inspiring.
Last year Adam and I moved during Christmas so we didn't get to decorate for Christmas, so we took advantage of having a place to decorate this year and put our Christmas decorations out before we left for Thanksgiving. One of our traditions is to buy Christmas ornaments at all of the places we travel to. We haven't used some of these ornaments yet, so it was fun to pull those out for the first time this year!

These are just a few of the memorable ornaments on the tree. I will post again soon about the fun we had with Jackson and the families!

Happy Birthday Adam!!!

I have been away from the blog for a while so I didn't get to post on my wonderful husband's birthday but we celebrated his birthday on Wednesday. His parents and sisters were able to come and be with us that day. We had a great time with them. I am so thankful for him. He is an amazing husband, friend, and provider. I LOVE that he will be older than me for 9 whole days!!! I love you sweetheart!! I hope you had a wonderful day.

Thanksgiving recap

Adam, Albe and I headed to the 'burg for Thanksgiving. Jeremy, Amy and Jackson were already there so we were looking forward to spending some quality time with little man. He definitely kept us entertained. He liked walking around in Uncle Ben's boots, with his holster on. Notice that he has tools in the holster. He hasn't gotten any guns yet. But uses everything as a gun.
My favorite thing is that he asks my permission before doing bodily harm to Adam. Our conversations usually go like this...
Jackson: Mimi, can I drop an elbow bomb on Uncle Adam?
Mimi (me): Why sure sweetie, you can definitely drop an elbow bomb on Uncle Adam?
Jackson (1 minute later after a successful elbow bomb): Mimi can I do a pile driver on Uncle Adam?
Mimi: Yep, you can!
Jackson (30 seconds later): Mimi, Can I pull Uncle Adam's foot off?
Mimi: Laughing hysterically, well I don't know if he could walk without a foot.

I'm telling you this kid cracks me up. LOVE HIM!!! He keeps us entertained!!!

Jackson and Adam ate their cereal together one morning and I thought it was precious!!! So I thought I would share it with you. Two of my favorite fellas, I was just missing Dad in the picture!

Weekend Recap

As I posted last, Hotel Knight was open for business and we were filled to capacity. We had a great time with everyone here. We had beautiful weather so thankfully we got to enjoy the wonderful space that we also have outside.

The first thing Jackson wanted to do when he got here was for Uncle Adam to ride him on the lawn mower. We told him he had to wait until the morning, but he was thrilled when he got his turn around the yard!!

We took a walk down to the lake in our neighborhood. I love how beautiful everything is with the changing of the leaves.

Albe led the way! He said, "Come on guys, I know where we are going."

Beautiful View!!!

Once we got there Jackson found lots to play with.

"Let's see if I can fish with this thing."

Ben and Lacey (and Keelo too) joined us at the lake.

We had a WONDERFUL weekend. Albe says. Come back to our house anytime!!

Knight Hotel

The Knight Hotel is open for business. This weekend we had a great visit with Adam's best friend Jonathon and his wife Jessi. She took the wonderful pictures you now see on our header. She is so talented. If you are in Hattiesburg and want Christmas pictures, I highly recommend her. Last weekend we had Adam's parents and sweet sister Lisa come to visit. This coming weekend, Hotel Knight will be hosting my parents, brother Ben and his girlfriend and my older brother Jeremy, his wife Amy and my sweet nephew Jackson (and his imaginary friend Allison) and partridge in a pair tree!! We are looking forward to it!!

Have a great week!
