I'm so excited....

I'm so excited... and I just can't hide it... go ahead finish the song in your head or outloud. Its ok. Let loose.
Adam, Albe and I are packing up this afternoon and going to see this precious little fella (his parents will be there too)!!!!
When I talked to Jackson this week about coming to see him his only stipulation was that I bring Adam. He kept saying, "You bring Adam". Adam is going to Auburn on Friday to do some things for work and Albe and I are staying in Prattville with Jackson ALL DAY!!! I am THRILLED!!! We will find out soon if Albe feels the same way. I hope it is love at first sight! Albe better sleep in the car because I think he is about to get worn out!!

Happy Anniversary!!

I just wanted to take a minute to say Happy 30th Anniversary to our parents, Chuck and Cindy. This is an amazing accomplishment and they have set a wonderful example for Amy and I to follow. We are truly blessed to have such great parents, as Amy's parents have also been married for over 30 years and have been great to us as well. Hope you have had a great day and 30 or more great years together!!

Snow Day

We woke up this morning to a winter blanket of snow. This is a RARE occurrence in Mississippi so we are of course very excited to see snow! We didn't know how Albe would react to the snow since he can't stand the rain ( we can barely coax him to go outside in it). Here are some pics from around our house today!Albe ready to tackle the snow.
Albe says, "This snow is nothing, let me see if I can change the color of it."
Out our back door.

Have a great Non-snow day.

Mom

Tomorrow is a very, very special day. It's my mom's birthday. I really wish that I could be there to spend the day with her, but in all honesty (and mom I hope you read this) she NEEDS TO REST. She has come down with bronchitis and needs to take the day to do NOTHING. What a great way to spend a birthday right. As I have been thinking about this birthday post and looking through pictures to put up of mom I was reminded of what a special year this was for mom and I because we got to plan my wedding. I am tearing up just thinking about how unbelievably blessed I am to have such an amazing mom.
We have always had a wonderful relationship but this last year the Lord used planning the wedding and marriage to change and grow our relationship. My mom loved me so much through the planning of our wedding. She wanted us to have such a special day and boy was it special.
Thank you mom for being a best friend, encourager, adviser, supporter, and most of all for being my mom. I am SOOO thankful to be your daughter. My heart rejoices in knowing that one day I can be the kind of mother to little ones that you have been to us. Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Happy Birthday to you..you

This week has been the birthday celebration of two very special people. My best friend Brandi and my oldest brother Jeremy.

Beautiful Brandi and I met our freshman year of college when she was moving in the dorm room across from me. If you hear her side of the story I think you would find that she thought I was a little to friendly for her. Never would we have imagined that 9 years later (man we are getting old) we would be best friends and she would stand beside me on our wedding day as my matron of honor. Brandi has had such a hard year, losing her mom and grandmother so this birthday is especially significant as its the first without these special ladies here with her. I know that her mom
especially is so proud of her beautiful, talented daughter and is watching her live each day hoping she will find joy again. I am so blessed to have her as a friend.

My big brother Jeremy hit the big 3-0 this week! That makes me feel older. He told me, it makes him an adult now. I said the marriage and child did that. I am so proud of my big brother. He is such a godly man with a kind heart. He is such an amazing DADDY!!!That Jackson loves, loves, loves his daddy ( he loves his momma too) but it has been so fun to watch the brother that I saw play little league, who drove me to high school, and who has one of the strongest work ethics of anyone I know love on his SON! I am so proud to call you brother and friend Jeremy.
I love this picture of Ben (my younger brother on left, Mom, and Jeremy (on right) from our wedding)

This is a picture of Adam and Jeremy from our wedding.

My birthday prayer for both of you is that this year you will feel loved and encouraged as you have loved and encouraged others.

Around the world in 3 days!!

Well last Thursday I loaded up and left the fellas to head to Auburn to conduct a couple of mentor training sessions. It was a whirlwind trip, where I covered a lot of territory, put a lot of miles on the Solara but was MOST thankful to pull back up in the driveway and be greeted by my wonderful husband and Albe's kisses!

Because so much ground was covered in three days I thought I could best summarize in list form the highlights of the trip (in random order)

1. Welcome to MOES!!! I have missed, missed eating at Moes. When we first moved to Auburn I had just learned that I had the yeast allergy and was going to have to drastically change my diet. Moes became one of the few places where I could "eat out". It was also right down the street from my office. Adam got a little burnt out on Moes but I love it. I ate there 2 times on this trip. Once with my wonderful friend and colleague Chris (who also graciously hosted me in her home, Thanks Groccia's) and the other with Adam's Biomechanics crew. I enjoyed my funkmeisters both times. YUM!

2. Sweet kisses on Corrie Beth and Quality Time with Karen! I was able to spend of few hours of bliss with my wonderful, wonderful friend Karen and CB (as Adam calls her). Couldn't you just eat her up. I hate I missed Brian (aka Dad) but good quality time with a precious friend is good medicine for the soul and some baby loving is just GOOD. Check out those baby blues. It is so neat how the Lord allowed Adam and I to be in Auburn when Corrie Beth was born.

3. JACKSON THOMAS WADE!!! Need I say more.
Everytime I see this little fella I am amazed at how smart and handsome he is. My mind captured the image of his face when I drove up to their house on Friday night with his little hands on the door waiting for me. He was so excited to see me and his Mimi was SOOO thrilled to have some time with her little man. The depth of his vocabulary amazes me, his sweet spirit, and thoughtful heart delights me. The kid just makes me laugh! Saturday we got to spend some unexpected quality time together because of Macy's (their dog's) field trip to the vet. We had so much fun on our walks and rides. He is ALL boy, all explorer.

4. Family On the way home I stopped in Birmingham to see Grandma, Poppa and Geet. Saturday marked one week since Geet moved in with Grandma and Poppa after being in a rehab unit at the hospital recovering from a stroke. I was so glad to get to see how well she was doing and get to love on each of them. I got loved on too. Adam and I are so blessed by our families.

5. Coming home As I mentioned at the beginning it was SO great to pull up at home and know my wonderful husband was waiting for me. You know that feeling when you are almost home and that last five minutes you are just so excited to get there. It was a lot easier for me to travel when I was single and didn't have to leave my husband at home. But this is what I LOVE to come home too!!

A day in the life...

Two weeks ago our lives changed drastically... but for the good. Its funny really when we think about how our conversations now revolve around Albe and what "he" did today, and whether or not "he" behaved. We are looking on the internet on how to "train" him picking out new toys for him and taking pictures of him when he does something cute. What has our life come to? But he is so darn cute and we can't imagine what our life was like without this little pup. Oh we are going to be a mess when we have kids!

So here is a glimpse into a day in the life of Albe.

Albe and Adam coming back from one of his daily walks. Albe loves his exercise.

This is Albe watching for Adam to come home or anything to bark at.

The first picture Albe is of him just walking around the house. The second picture i took right after he barked. I think it is hilarious to see what happens to his ears when he gets excited.

One of Albe's favorite things cuddling with us! We are pretty fond of that too.

As you can tell he has a pretty hard life.
