C is for Chase, Call, & Catch Tanner

C is for Chase, Call , & Catch Tanner

If you are avid blog reader of mine you have heard me talk about Tanner, my parents lovable yet hyper dachshund. Well this little fellow can make your day. He is a cuddle bug. Since I have been staying at mom and dad's until the wedding I have enjoyed having Tanner wake me up in the morning with he wet kisses. Well Tanner is getting a little bit more adventurous. He is not an outside dog or at least my parents have never allowed him to be, but he will slip out the door and take off sometimes before we can reach down to catch him. And thats what happened last night. My mom was opening the door for my brother, when out Tanner went, into the dark night. I think he was going to look for badgers ( just in case you didn't know dachshunds are breed for that). We had no idea what direction he headed, so mom, dad, Ben, Adam and myself got flashlights and went looking for him. The little rascal. He knew we were looking silly wandering around, but all he cared about was he was free for a change. Adam and I looked in the edge of the woods. Thanks sweetheart for humoring me on thinking I heard him there. About 10 minutes later, my dad walks back up with him in his arms. Freedom was his no more. Silly dog. But he is so darn cute.

B is for Birthdays

B is for Birthdays

May is a special month full of lots of birthdays to celebrate.

First my wonderful sister-n-law to be Lori celebrated her birthday on May 3rd. I am thrilled to have Lori for a sister-n-law. Happy Birthday Lo. This picture below
is of Lori, Lisa (my other wonderful sister-n-law) and myself on a Cruise this past summer.

The next birthday to celebrate is my fun friend Heather.
Heather celebrated her birthday on Monday, May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, Ole' Here is a picture of Heather and I at a shower she and Brandi and Sunny hosted for me.

Next is my wonderful, wonderful friend Karen formerly Walker now Robinson. Did you get that. Karen Walker Robinson. Karen's birthday is today, May 7th. For the past few years, I have managed to miss her birthday due to crazy circumstances or just my craziness. One year I had a wreck on her birthday, one year a concussion, one year I just absolutely forget, even talked with her on her birthday but still forgot. I DID NOT FORGET this year. I even asked Adam to go by and see her yesterday before he left Auburn YESTERDAY to wish her an early birthday. I am so excited about living in the same city as this special friend especially because Karen and Brian are expecting a little one (a precious girl) in October. YAY. Here is a picture of Karen and I taken at my apartment last fall.

The next birthday to celebrate is someone who is practically family- see if you can follow- Lisa's (sister-n-law from above) wonderful boyfriend Patrick!!! Yep that's him in the picture below with Lisa. He's also a Luckyday scholar so I have taught him, worked with him and love him like a brother. Can't wait until he is family. Happy Birthday Patrick!!!

Another birthday this month is my extremely faithful prayer partner Ginger. Ginger celebrates her birthday on May 10th. I don't have a picture to share of Ginger but she has always been a faithful friend, encourager, and prayer warrior. Love you friend.

May 17th is Kris's birthday. Kris is my best friend from high school. I might have to add in a picture later from our old high school days... the days when Kris and I were obsessed with weddings and pretty much boys. Now she is a wonderful mom and teacher and I am ready to get past the wedding and be a wife.

I think that catches me up! Happy Birthday to you all!! Thanks for your wonderful place in my life!

One last thing.... today is ONE MONTH from our wedding!!! WAHOO!!!!!

A is for Adam

In my blog stalking I have seen the alphabet game being played so I thought it would be fun to start playing it too!!!
A is for Adam

Adam is a great topic to start the alphabet game with. The Lord indeed has created an amazingly kind, patient, smart, handsome, strong, caring man in Adam. My heart delights in knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life with him!!! Can you see the smile on my face!!!??? Not only is Adam the most handsome man that I know he is also the smartest. Today he is starting his written comps for his PhD. This process will take 2 days. Let me put the amount of work he has endured into perspective for you. On Tuesday he presented at a conference in Birmingham, Wednesday he took a final exam in Auburn and Thursday and Friday he will write for approximately 8 hours on his written comprehensives and then work on the take home portion this weekend. He is one hard working man. But despite all of this hard work he still makes me laugh, smile and feel like the most loved woman in the world. I am blessed beyond measure. My sweet Adam.

Gigi and Tataw

Little man aka Jackson spent the weekend at the Wade's and we had a great weekend of exploration, laughter and toddler time. Jackson is ALL boy which means from the moment he woke up until the moment he went to bed he wanted to be OUTSIDE. Thankfully his "Tataw" aka my dad also known as his BEST FRIEND and Gigi were glad to accomodate aka spoil him and grant this wish and we had beautiful weather. I have written before about how much he loves my dad and this trip he really started calling him "tataw" which was incredibly cute. I loved when he would walk threw the house saying "tataw, tataw" in such a pitiful voice. Like none of us were capable of doing ANYTHING for this precious child. He was also very good at calling for my mom Gigi! Don't want to leave you out mom!!!
Unfortunately Adam was not able to come home this weekend and Jackson missed him. Jeremy and Amy had told me that Jackson had been saying his name more of an "Ada" and they were right he would go a picture of Adam and I and say "Ada, Ada" and then walk around the hosue looking for him. I told him, I wished he was here too!! The picture below is of him holding the picture frame saying Adam's name over and over, if only that could make Adam appear. I had a great time with my sister-n-law shopping on Saturday. Bridesmaid dresses came in well 10 of the 11 were right, somehow we got a red one mixed in with the pink ones that will be a great story to tell for years to come. Luckily we will have time to get it fixed before the wedding and Adam and I will have the prettiest bridesmaids in the world!!! Love you ladies!! Have I mentioned that we are less than seven weeks folks. Check the countdown!!! Wahoo!!!!! More wedding talk to come soon!

Can I come over yet????

I had an exercise in releasing control this weekend in the form of a wedding shower. YES. You read right. 3 of my best friends gave me a wedding shower Brandi, Sunny, and Heather.
I had to release control you see because I am usually the one getting the food ready and the house cleaned. Its hard being on the other side of things. I asked Brandi what time I could come over, the shower started at 2 pm mind you, she said, "1:30" OH MY GOODNESS> it was killing me not to be up in the middle of things and I wanted to spend time with Sunny too (she lives out of town) but I stayed away and it was worth it. They did an amazing job. The food was wonderful. As you can tell from the pictures, the gifts were more than Adam and I could have asked for and the fellowship and laughter was priceless. I told them this was the perfect setting to get me inaugurated to sitting in front of a group to open presents. Kind of intimidating. The Lord has blessed me ten fold with friends and family. Thats one thing that Adam and I are so looking forward to about our wedding day is having all of those we love around us in celebration of the Lord's work. God is good all the time and all the time God IS GOOD!!!

Moving out...moving in.... moving....goodbye 2312

Well we FINALLY finished moving everything out of my apartment, got it cleaned and the keys are turned in. Can you say HALLELUJAH!!!??? Don't worry I have said it enough for everyone. it seemed like an endless process to get all of the rest of the stuff out of the apartment. Don't forget we moved a WHOLE UHAUL to Auburn 3 weeks ago with enough stuff to fill a garage size storage unit. But apparently I left to much stuff off the truck.
Actually I had a of junk ( hopefully others will see it as valuable finds) for a garage sale and then just getting the apartment clean is a task in itself. Thankfully I had some really great help. Adam helped me during his Spring break. Dad and Ben helped move everything out that was left and Mom and I were cleaning machines. This is the end result.

Take note of the sacrifices I am making for marriage. The AMAZING storage closet above!!! I am giving up SOO much storage space in this apartment but gaining such a wonderful new husband. Now I know ladies will agree that storage space ranks right up there with a loving spouse so I do grieve this loss, hence the picture. What we do for love.

Apartment 2312 will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first place I lived on my on in, where Adam and I had our first kiss, last place of singleness, it was a great apartment!!!!
