Gigi and Tataw

Little man aka Jackson spent the weekend at the Wade's and we had a great weekend of exploration, laughter and toddler time. Jackson is ALL boy which means from the moment he woke up until the moment he went to bed he wanted to be OUTSIDE. Thankfully his "Tataw" aka my dad also known as his BEST FRIEND and Gigi were glad to accomodate aka spoil him and grant this wish and we had beautiful weather. I have written before about how much he loves my dad and this trip he really started calling him "tataw" which was incredibly cute. I loved when he would walk threw the house saying "tataw, tataw" in such a pitiful voice. Like none of us were capable of doing ANYTHING for this precious child. He was also very good at calling for my mom Gigi! Don't want to leave you out mom!!!
Unfortunately Adam was not able to come home this weekend and Jackson missed him. Jeremy and Amy had told me that Jackson had been saying his name more of an "Ada" and they were right he would go a picture of Adam and I and say "Ada, Ada" and then walk around the hosue looking for him. I told him, I wished he was here too!! The picture below is of him holding the picture frame saying Adam's name over and over, if only that could make Adam appear. I had a great time with my sister-n-law shopping on Saturday. Bridesmaid dresses came in well 10 of the 11 were right, somehow we got a red one mixed in with the pink ones that will be a great story to tell for years to come. Luckily we will have time to get it fixed before the wedding and Adam and I will have the prettiest bridesmaids in the world!!! Love you ladies!! Have I mentioned that we are less than seven weeks folks. Check the countdown!!! Wahoo!!!!! More wedding talk to come soon!

Can I come over yet????

I had an exercise in releasing control this weekend in the form of a wedding shower. YES. You read right. 3 of my best friends gave me a wedding shower Brandi, Sunny, and Heather.
I had to release control you see because I am usually the one getting the food ready and the house cleaned. Its hard being on the other side of things. I asked Brandi what time I could come over, the shower started at 2 pm mind you, she said, "1:30" OH MY GOODNESS> it was killing me not to be up in the middle of things and I wanted to spend time with Sunny too (she lives out of town) but I stayed away and it was worth it. They did an amazing job. The food was wonderful. As you can tell from the pictures, the gifts were more than Adam and I could have asked for and the fellowship and laughter was priceless. I told them this was the perfect setting to get me inaugurated to sitting in front of a group to open presents. Kind of intimidating. The Lord has blessed me ten fold with friends and family. Thats one thing that Adam and I are so looking forward to about our wedding day is having all of those we love around us in celebration of the Lord's work. God is good all the time and all the time God IS GOOD!!!

Moving out...moving in.... moving....goodbye 2312

Well we FINALLY finished moving everything out of my apartment, got it cleaned and the keys are turned in. Can you say HALLELUJAH!!!??? Don't worry I have said it enough for everyone. it seemed like an endless process to get all of the rest of the stuff out of the apartment. Don't forget we moved a WHOLE UHAUL to Auburn 3 weeks ago with enough stuff to fill a garage size storage unit. But apparently I left to much stuff off the truck.
Actually I had a of junk ( hopefully others will see it as valuable finds) for a garage sale and then just getting the apartment clean is a task in itself. Thankfully I had some really great help. Adam helped me during his Spring break. Dad and Ben helped move everything out that was left and Mom and I were cleaning machines. This is the end result.

Take note of the sacrifices I am making for marriage. The AMAZING storage closet above!!! I am giving up SOO much storage space in this apartment but gaining such a wonderful new husband. Now I know ladies will agree that storage space ranks right up there with a loving spouse so I do grieve this loss, hence the picture. What we do for love.

Apartment 2312 will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first place I lived on my on in, where Adam and I had our first kiss, last place of singleness, it was a great apartment!!!!

What a weekend...

Wow what an exciting weekend we had!!! I am officially moved into a garage sized storage unit in Auburn. A huge thanks goes to Lisa, Patrick, CT, Matthew and Ben for loading the UHaul and Mom, Dad, Ross and my sweet Adam for unloading the unbelievable amount of stuff that I have. I just thought I purged a lot of my stuff. We found as we loaded the truck that I have accumulated a great deal of earthly treasures or trash in my 26 years. After unloading and get in a quick hug and chat with Karen and her wonderful mom Shelia, we were off to Prattville to see little man Jackson.

He is SOO stinkin' cute!! I haven't seen him in over a month and Adam hasn't seen him since December, boy has he changed. He is turning into a little boy. It was still daylight so we got to go for a walk and play outside, which is his favorite place in the world. He charmed us and ran us and kept us laughing all night. I think he finds his Mimi (thats me) a little goofy. When he got out of the bath tub he came in the den to find he dad, Gigi, Papa, and Uncle Adam playing the big people toy Guitar Hero. I just thought I had laughed a lot. Priceless moments followed as my parents and myself trying to conquer or should I say even play this game. My sister-n-law Amy has a great picture of me reacting to my Dad trying to play. Below are other pictures of my mom and dad. Amy did take video of my Dad that I will sell to the highest bidder. Adam is really good and Jeremy caught on quickly. Jackson just laughed at us grown-ups being silly. Mom, Adam and I headed home to Hattiesburg yesterday while Dad headed to Nashville for work. I am so glad that Adam will be home this week on his Spring Break. We have lots of wedding things to do and I am looking forward to having him home for a week!!!

It's a beautiful day!

Could spring be springing? Dare I say the words. Yesterday was such a beautiful day here in the 'burg and it looks like today is going to be another beautiful day too. As I was coming back from picking up lunch I noticed a truck on campus with what looked like the largest tree known to man. I wondered where they might plant a tree of this proportion. As I got closer I saw that it was a trailer with about 5 trees on it. They are planting 5 new trees on this particular area of campus. I think about the many students that will find shade under these trees, the students that will walk past these trees and admire their stature, take pictures with these trees in the background. Those trees I just saw will take root on our campus today and that is such a neat picture to me of the roots of the students I work with. It is a beautiful day!! Go enjoy the shade of a tree!!!

You are cordially invited....

Well an exciting day has arrived! The wedding invitations are here!!! and they look FABULOUS. All of our worrying and mind changing paid off. I really could not be happier. I know that it is just a piece of paper, but it is so exciting to see"the marriage of our daughter Amy Elizabeth to Adam Charles Knight"

In other news.... We had a great weekend. Adam came home Thursday night because we had to be at the doctor in New Orleans at 8 am on Friday. We left Hattiesburg at 5:30 a.m. and were able to see a beautiful sunrise on the way to New Orleans. Not necessarily the way I like to spend my Friday morning, but I got a good report. We came back and had our first Marriage counseling session which went great. Saturday we had lunch with Sunny , Bud, Brandi and Matthew. This was so much fun especially since I am no longer the 5th wheel. Poor Bud, Matthew and Adam though they were kind of just left out as we gals just talked and talked. Better get used to us with us jabber mouths. I love my girls.

Adam and I had a productive day followed by the veiwing of Definitely Maybe. This movie is a must see. I hated for Adam to go back to Auburn but we are quickly counting down until the wedding!!!! He will be back in 2 weeks for Spring Break!!
